Job Description
The Senior Quality Inspector – Electrical will be responsible for the following:

Currently looking for a Senior Quality Inspector - Electrical reporting to Site QA Lead. You’ll be responsible to provide support to quality management team in coordination of construction activities during the early works construction over seeing LNG projects.

As a Senior Quality Inspector - Electrical your main duties will involve:
• Report to Site QA Lead
• Responsible to provide support to quality management team in coordination of construction activities during the early works construction of the LNG project.
• Monitor procedures and qualification testing. Verifying dimensions, certifications, material certification and traceability for all materials, and consumables.
• Witness Contractor’s activities and ensure Contractor’s quality records are acceptable. Review or witness in process and hold point inspection during construction in accordance with the Contractor’s Inspection and Test Plans.
• Monitor all aspects of Quality Control relative to electrical during construction, to ensure adherence to the technical requirements and applicable codes including SID (Safety in Design).
• Provide expertise to site team to avoid/resolve quality problems.
• Attend and witness testing associated with equipment and systems.
• Assure contractor compliance with the approved program and review reports.
• Verify that all testing procedures have been approved and are on site. Confirm testing parameters are duly recorded and that testing equipment is calibrated.
• Review procedures for testing/examining components with the optimal method and techniques.
• Ensure non-conformances are identified, tracked and closed out prior to acceptance of the work.
• Review and approve contractor work for all electrical construction for quality and adherence to design requirements.
• Prepare and issue detailed inspection reports and daily summary report for Site QA Lead.

• As a Senior Quality Inspector - Electrical you will have experience:
• Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in the electrical inspection discipline and a minimum of ten (10) years of construction activities in the contract's scope of work e.g. oil, gas and/or petrochemical projects.
• Fully conversant with applicable industry standards and specifications; and shall perform a variety of inspection functions with minimal supervision.
• Canadian project experience and familiarity with Canadian and British Columbia codes and regulations.
• Working knowledge of BC Electric Safety Regulation and Canadian Electric Code
• Must be proficient in common PC software i.e. Microsoft Office, computer skills, and full understanding of report writing.
• Journeyman construction electrician red seal or equivalent.

• Please note this position will be based out of Kitimat at 369 City Centre Kitimat, BC, V8C 1T6.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Job Requirements

A minimum of 8-10 years of International Oil Company major capital project construction experience is required.

High school graduate as a minimum. Higher National Certificate in Engineering or related discipline preferred.

The Senior Quality Inspector – Electrical must have the ability to read, write and understand the English language in a highly competent manner. Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills are mandatory.

The Senior Quality Inspector – Electrical must be able to work in office and construction site environments and interact with team members and contractors throughout the day while contributing to a positive “One Team” work environment.

Job Offer
This is a full time contract position for one year with the possibility of a contract extension.
