1. Develop and implement effective reliability engineering strategy and troubleshooting support (instrumentation and electrical disciplines) for critical revenue generating rotating equipment (gas turbines, gas compressors, pumps, turbo-expanders, tank vapor blowers etc) operating at production facilities throughout Project Fields to ensure reliability of production operations.

2. Active involvement in field work to improve the reliability of instrument, electrical and control systems primarily used to control critical rotating equipment to ensure that these systems operate as designed and without unplanned shutdowns. The provision of specialist engineering support for process control (DCS, PLC), emergency shutdown systems (ESD) and fire and gas (F&G) systems is an essential element of this position.

3. Management of preventive maintenance contracts (i.e. F&G Maintenance Support Contract}, including contract preparation, allocation of budget, management of schedule and supervision of contractor resources for F&G preventive maintenance activities to ensure overall reliability of F&G systems protecting entire production facilities within Project fields.

4. Responsible engineer for Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for critical gas turbines, gas compressors, control systems (F&G, DCS, ESD) operating within Project fields. Ensure that the systems operate safely and according to specification and production requirements.
s. Monitors equipment performance and checks appropriate performance data to
ascertain breakdown causes. Presents regular review reports on
performance of equipment together with appropriate suggestions to change operating procedures or increase maintenance frequencies.

6. Carries out other similar or related duties such as conducting general technical audits on other related equipment as requested; writing technical reports; dealing with emergency situations in the plant, diagnosing faults and providing instructions to production personnel on the operating of equipment, reviewing relevant instrumentation and electrical engineering standards and codes to ensure that all engineering work is carried out in a safe, timely and cost effective manner.

Specialist experience of Instrumentation and electrical equipment used in safety critical applications (F&G systems, ESD systems) and techniques used for condition monitoring.

Completion of full time secondary education followed by a minimum of three years higher level study at recognised institution.

BSc I BEng in Instrumentation & Control or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Must have satisfied the academic and professional requirements for Chartered/Professional Engineer status or eq
