The Company:
Our client is a global market leader within the energy sector with projects in over 30 countries worldwide. Here in Australia, they are involved in one of the largest LNG projects with operations spanning exploration, production and downstream. The Role:
Our Client is seeking an experienced Senior Report Analyst for a 10 month maternity leave cover to provide support to the Accounting Services Team and the Finance Services Lead. Working closely with the offshore delivery team and liaising with the internal stakeholders, this is an opportunity to ensure finance deliverables meet the required quality of the company. The ideal candidate will be an effective and confident communicator in explaining and communicating financial information.

As the successful candidate your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Ensuring the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets and the environment.
  • Provide support to the External and Internal Accounting Teams with regards to transitioning work offshore in an effective manner.
  • Ensure that the offshore delivery services teams apply and understand relevant accounting policies and principles.
  • Work alongside Finance SAP Architect to ensure offshore delivery team maintain integrity over master data such as the chart of accounts, WBS, and cost centres.
  • Support the offshore delivery team in meeting their deadlines - discuss timelines, coordinate their requirements, and manage park and post process.
  • Support all Internal or non-operated audits.
  • Develop KPIs for offshore delivery team's performance.
  • Foster and facilitate team work across the Finance Department and the offshore team.
  • Transition the recently developed Business Warehouse (BW) reporting solution for actual v actual and actual v budget to Manila offshore delivery team.
  • Assist in delivery of the General Ledger Reconciliations in a custom designed tool.



Essential Skills / Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Essential Undergraduate Degree - Accounting.
  • CA/CPA qualified or similar international recognition.

Skills & Experience:

  • 6+ years' experience in Financial and Operations accounting role.
  • 4+ years in Exploration and Production major.
  • 3+ years of SAP - demonstrable of the Finance modules.
  • Proven ability to understand and explain the commercial drivers of a large business, such as the impact of Joint Operating Agreements.
