The Role:
Currently looking for a Senior Reservoir Engineer, to join the UK Asset multidisciplinary team, reporting to the UK Subsurface Manager.

As a Senior Reservoir Engineer your main duties will involve:
• Monitoring and evaluation of field production and injection performance, and any operational activity, with the objective of recommending operations, activities and studies aimed at maximising production and ultimate recovery of hydrocarbons.
• Internal production forecasting and reserves review exercise. Contribute to yearly budget preparation and Field Management/Depletion Plans. Manage the asset reserves/resources portfolio in compliance with the SEC regulation.
• Preparing technical justification for capital projects, including peer assists and reviews, and presenting to management for internal sanction to support investment decisions.
• Participate in partner Technical Committee Meetings and sub-surface workshops, ensuring that Marathon’s interests are represented, and challenging the operator where appropriate.
• Mentoring less experienced reservoir engineers in the UK Asset Team.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
As a Senior Reservoir Engineer you will have experience:
• Degree: Bachelors Required, Masters Preferred
• Strong background in Reservoir or Petroleum Engineering
• You’ll be proficient with dynamic simulation, preferably with Eclipse in both black oil and compositional modes
• You should have practical expertise in the use of classical reservoir engineering methods and tools involved in decline curve analysis, material balance analysis, and nodal analysis, as well as a good understanding of geology of clastic systems, geophysics and petrophysics.
• Experience in offshore fields, drilling and well work operations and application of water flooding is preferred.
