The Company:
Our Client one of the largest independent oil and gas exploration and production companies in Europe. They are looking for a pragmatic, multi tasking individual, to support onshore development activities, specifically working on their East African operations.

The Role:
• Utilise simulation software to develop high quality reservoir models (Eclipse, Petrel RE, Saphir, and Petex)
• Provide production forecasting and resources assessments.
• Liaisons with operations and development operational planning on issues such as surveillance planning, subsurface infastructure etc.
• To lead the planning and execution of appraisal well drilling, including definition and oversight of data gathering programs from drilling operations.
• Coordinate and carry out subsurface reservoir analytical studies and assessments, and present the results of studies to key contacts.
• The position is focused on Ugandan assets, although work on other operated and non operated assets may also be required.
• Reservoir simulation modelling
• Production and reserves parameter forecasting
• Specialised Reservoir Engineering Analytical studies
• Integrating subsurface studies in order to optimise field development
• Link between Subsurface studies and Facility design and Well Engineering groups – ensure transfer of data and requirements

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
• Strong influencing skills
• Demonstrable understanding of all subsurface disciplines with the potential to lead integrated technical teams
• Previous experience in application of Eclipse, Petrel RE PVT, Mbal, Prosper, GAP, Saphir software is required
• International exposure to project work with multi-disciplinary teams over multi global locations
• Experience of onshore developments
• Reservoir management and surve experience
• Should have commercial awareness to compliment fit-for-purpose development planning
• Mentoring and training junior team members
