The Company:

The Role:
Responsible for performing a range of decision and risk activities, typically comprising:

• Facilitate Risk Workshops during the Tender phase advising the Business of the commercial / financial risks and contingency; attend corporate Reviews as required.
• Support to both C&T Studies and execution Projects in the facilitation of Risk and Opportunity Review Meetings; lead groups in the identification, assessment, prioritisation and treatment of risks and opportunities.
• Maintain Study / Project Risk Registers ensuring they are current, accurate and of sufficient quality; ensure risk mitigation actions are current, up to date and demonstrably reduce / avoid probability and/or impact.
• Perform risk and uncertainty analysis of Project cost estimates using stochastic methods such as Monte-Carlo analysis. Establishing the P0-P100 confidence range for comparison to the preliminary deterministic estimate.
• Performing risk and uncertainty schedule analysis by applying stochastic techniques such as Monte-Carlo analysis. Establishing the P0-P100 confidence range for milestones to compare to the preliminary project plan.
• Lead Decision analysis workshops internally and with clients; options screening/selection analysis utilising in-house bespoke decision tools.
• Perform lessons learned across all studies and projects to support continuous improvement adding value to existing and future projects.
• Support and assist in Reliability based activities such as FMECA, TRL/TRC assessments and RAM.
• Support and assist in functional development and growth.
• Ensure VDRM are represented professionally both internally and externally.
• Deliver proactive application of VDRM processes, tools and techniques into projects, studies and corporate activities; improve overall awareness in projects and clients.
• Identify and develop further work opportunities with existing clients.
• Promote understanding and awareness of the company’s risk management strategy, goals and activities.
• Assist with the interpretation of Corporate Risk Management Strategy.
• Develop and maintain sufficient written procedures and processes to ensure service continuity.
• Responsible and accountable for the project management and delivery of specific VDRM projects and studies.
• Assist with the provision of training opportunities to AOPL personnel to increase their risk awareness and competency.
• Development of appropriate tools and techniques to improve VDRM services and growth.


Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• A Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, mathematics, statistics or relevant science preferred
• Member of relevant professional body
• Good understanding of Risk Management and associated processes.
• Good knowledge of stochastic techniques and software for risk and uncertainty analysis
• General understanding of System Reliability Analysis, tools and techniques
• Highly computer literate
• Demonstrable relevant industrial experience in a similar role
• Awareness of the oil & gas industry
• Working experience of project controls, estimating and planning techniques and software.
• Good analytical skills
• Good oral and written communication.
• Good presentation skills.
• Good Team Working.
• Pro-active
• Leading and Facilitating workshops and meetings
• Good commercial awareness and tact in recognising future opportunities
