The Role:
RIGHTS TO WORK IN T&T

This position will provide engineering services to capital projects, maintenance and production departments as needed. The primary focus of this candidate will be to function as a central resource for delivering expertise in the area of turbo machinery including specification, design, manufacturing, operation, inspection and maintenance. Specific experience in vibration analysis is highly desirable.
• Assure that the design of equipment used in our process plants is in accordance with good engineering practices, applicable industry codes/standards and consistent with the company’s business needs.
• Provide technical leadership on capital projects and/or lead continuous improvement programs.
• Effectively interface with other groups across the Trinidad site / company to gain support for organizational goals then facilitate execution to assure success.
• Mentor / Train less experienced engineers, technicians and operators.
• Review and advise on site condition monitoring programs.
• Review and advise on site RCM programs and machinery intervention practices.
• Provide advice on equipment fault analysis, condition evaluation, acceptance testing, and corrective action.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum 15 years of experience in a refining, petrochemical, or chemical processing facility and at least 10 years dedicated specifically to turbo machinery.
• Strong knowledge of Bentley Nevada and CSI or equivalent vibration hardware and software.
• Firm knowledge of turbo machinery fault analysis, condition evaluation, vibration and oil analysis, acceptance testing and corrective action.
• Good knowledge of turbo machinery design
• Firm working knowledge of turbo machinery maintenance and repairs
• Firm working knowledge of machinery related industry standards (e.g. API, ANSI, ISO) as they apply to design, analysis, re-rating, repair and alteration of machinery.
• Firm working knowledge in turbo machinery operation, thermo dynamic and process aspects.
• Firm knowledge in machinery instrumentation and controls.
• Experienced in authoring technical specifications, procedures and other technical documents.

The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment with multiple projects with stipulated deadlines. S/He will also be functionally competent with SAP(MM module ) as well as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS Project.
