The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, seeks expertise for offshore mega-projects in Canada.

This opportunity is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only. First consideration will be given to residents of Newfoundland & Labrador.

The Role:
Responsibilities:
* Provide safety/health/security support to the site leadership & the EPC Contractor's organization. Responsibilities may extend to other SSH issues and metrics.
* Ensure establishment & proper implementation of work processes at the site level as stipulated in the Project Safety, Project Health and the Project Security Plan’s.
* Evaluate/monitor/support/collect and analyze data related to implementation of Contractor’s SSH management systems.
* Monitor, investigate, identify, and resolve site level SSH issues, evaluate metrics, and report as required to line management, Project SSH Manager,Function.
* Coach & facilitate sub-project managers and contractor's SHE organization to achieve SSH objectives.
* Assure appropriate SSH compliance monitoring & implementation of SSH Execution Plans.
* Verify compliance with Project Design Specifications for SSH management by the Contractor.
* Identify & work to eliminate site hazards, unsafe conditions, and unsafe acts; work with company, contractor, and subcontractor management toward achieving an injury-free work place.
* Assist in implementation of systematic safety processes to assure compliance with the Project Safety Management System (PSMS) requirements.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* College/University degree and/or technical diploma with 10 years in construction related SSH
* Excellent knowledge of SSH standards, codes, & practices with demonstrated ability to deliver project SSH&E performance
* Facilities fabrication, construction, transportation, and pre-commissioning from SSH perspective
* Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Lotus Notes. Fluent in English
* Incident Investigation Team Lead, Lead Auditor/Assessor Training & International Ship & Port Security Training, Working at Heights/Fall Protection.
