The Role:
Our Client is seeking an experienced Senior Safety & Risk Engineer to join our high performing Engineering team to work on substantial offshore and onshore Brownfield projects. Reporting directly to the Chief Safety & Risk Engineer, your duties will include:
• Hazard identification, risk assessment and quantification,
• Participation in Safety & Design Reviews and Hazard and Operability Studies,
• Reviewing Safety Engineering requirements for specific projects,
• Development of risk and consequence models for hydrocarbon production and processing plants (both offshore and onshore),
• Working as part of the Safety & Risk Engineering team to provide advice to Project Engineers on all aspects of risk reduction and mitigation,
• Assisting with firewater and passive fire protection design, and
• Being an active member in creating and maintaining a culture of HSE leadership that genuinely values no harm to the environment and values our peoples safety, health and well-being.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
To be considered for this position you will possess a relevant
• Engineering degree qualification
• Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience as a Safety and Risk Engineer gained within an offshore Oil and Gas environment.
• A clear understanding of Safety Case Regulations and legislative requirements and have experience in technical audits, hazard identification, risk assessment quantification, and mitigation techniques.
• You will also possess sound verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to adapt to a dynamic working environment.
• No previous firewater design experience is required as on the job training will be provided.
• As part of this position you will be required to undergo the HUET course and obtain MSIC as travel offshore will be required from time to time
