The Company:
Our client is a leading engineering solutions provider for blue-chip companies in the UK.

The Role:
To supervise and co-ordinate a section of the drawing office and ensure that company policies are followed.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
To act as project Senior Section Leader on projects and to supervise and carry out design work on such projects.
To be responsible for checking and approval of drawings in accordance with Company Procedures
To act as proposals Senior Section Leader on proposals and to supervise and carry out design work for such proposals.
To assist as instructed in administration work within the group including but not necessarily limited to preparation of corporate procedures,
corporate standards and specifications etc.
To plan for adequate resources and to monitor and report design progress and manhour usage.
To liaise with other disciplines as required.
To be responsible for the quality of work carried out by the group.
To comply with Company Policy with regard to safety and environment.

A Senior Section Leader will normally be the most Senior Designer of his discipline on a particular project.

NATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITION
The job holder reports to the appropriate Chief Piping Engineer. On assignment to a project or task force the job holder may report to the
appropriate discipline engineer or engineering co-ordination manager as agreed for the specific project.
Designers/Draughtsmen report to the job holder. The number of personnel reporting at any time is dependent on the size of project and
the nature and scope of work being undertaken.
Ensure personal compliance with current company policy, relevant legislation and company
And clients requirements for Health, Safety and Environmental matters and work in such a
manner not to cause personal harm or injury to fellow workers, client and subcontractors
Employees or the environment.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
ONC, HNC, HND or equivalent qualification in the appropriate Engineering discipline.
Extensive experience working on large projects

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Commensurate Experience in a H&C Environment
