The Company:
Our client is a leading engineering solutions provider for blue-chip companies in the UK.

The Role:
A Section Leader is a member of the Civil/Structural design team supervising and co-ordinating the discipline drawing office to ensure that
Company policies, procedures and standards are followed in order to meet project or proposals requirements. Additionally the Section
Leader will be producing discipline design drawings and modelling.


Carry out specific tasks on projects assigned by the Principal / Chief Engineer and to comply with Company Health, Safety and
Environment Polices, Standards and Procedures.
Be responsible for the supervision, preparation, checking and approval of sketches, drawings and modelling work in accordance with
Company Procedures.
Assist the Chief Engineer as instructed in work within the group including the preparation of Corporate Procedures, Corporate
Standards, Specifications, estimates etc;
Meet project delivery requirements.
Liaise with other Engineering, support and construction operations.
Make short term visits to sites and offices in the UK and overseas, to support project and proposals needs, for Client liaison, Statutory
Undertakers, Building Control, site surveys, third party engineering and design supervision, construction supervision, etc;
Offer advice and support to colleagues and subordinates on development needs.
Be fully aware of legal and organisational responsibilities regarding Health, Safety and Environmental issues with respect to Employees,
Contractors, Clients and third parties, ensuring that their activities are managed in accordance with Company Policy and Client
Note:- In the above descriptions the term ‘design / drawings / modelling’ is used in its broadest sense and covers basic sketches,
Autocad / hand drawings, modelling, schedules, takes off and review of subcontractor deliverables.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
A degree, HNC, HND or equivalent qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering or related discipline.
Experience of multiple petro-chemical, nuclear and/or industrial process projects.
