The Role:
• Serve as an expert on purchasing activities and procurement policies and procedures. Generate appropriate procurement strategies and handle complex or non-routine assignments and special projects, which require in-depth analysis and/or purchasing actions.
• Lead or participate in major procurement actions which require a high level of purchasing expertise.
• Conduct and present analytical procurement studies for management on strategic issues.
• Coordinate the implementation of new systems and procedures within the procurement organization; review unusual circumstances and problems and recommend resolutions.
• Provide functional expertise to purchasing operations and to procurement personnel; coach new employees to have in depth knowledge of purchasing systems / procedures, key suppliers, and products and services.
• Develop appropriate sourcing strategies and utilize the knowhow of purchasing systems / procedures to effectively manage suppliers.
• Initiate purchase orders and / or long purchase agreements for the supply for materials and services; type of purchase agreements, direct delivery agreements, low value agreements, vendor managed inventory.
• Track purchase order placement and delivery time, and take corrective actions such as counselling the supplier in case of low delivery performance.
• Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor/ manager

Must be familiar with petrochemicals and products that Sadara will deal with.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
 Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, General Management, IT, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Finance or equivalent
 MBA degree optional but preferred.
 15-20 years of Experience in Procurement processes
