The Company:
A major operator for a Russian LNG project.
Position based in Paris - 6 months renewable
Max. all inclusive daily rate of 700 EUR

The Role:
We are looking for a Senior Structural & Modularization Engineer for an Operator position based in Paris/La Défense in order to provide technical support to the Lead Civil & Structural & Modularization Engineer.
To supervise the detailed design and construction engineering (as applicable) activities by the LNG PLANT EPC Contractor and its Subcontractors and Fabricators.

The service holder shall:
- Supervise the detailed design and construction engineering (as applicable) activities by the LNG PLANT EPC Contractor.
- Review and comment the Interfaces Tasks Sheets and expedite the interfaces related issues as applicable.
- Ensure LNG PLANT buildings, infrastructures, modularization and structural design consistency, optimization. This implies interfaces management and leadership towards other work packages.
- Ensure the design by EPC Contractor is in compliance with the Project SOR and Contract documentation.
- Avoid EPC Contractor stand-by/delays by prompt response to the technical queries and/or technical clarifications (if any) and unexpected technical issues, by a proactive and efficient approach.

To review and comment the detailed engineering and construction engineering deliverables, as per the agreed MDDM.
- To inform the lead disciplines, project engineers, and deputy engineering managers of key issues or concerns arising from the review of the engineering and construction deliverables.
- To propose responses to the TQ and TC and seek support from lead when required.
- To attend weekly discipline meeting with his counterpart as well as monthly interfaces meeting with other Contractors.
- To ensure proper reporting, highlighting critical issues to the Lead Engineer, Project Engineers, Deputy Engineering Manager and Engineering Manager and propose remedial actions.
- To contribute to improving the project lessons learnt and personnel skills.
- To contribute to the advancement of working methods and tools within his speciality in close coordination with his lead.
- Participate to technical meetings, challenge the Contractors, monitor and promote cost saving solutions in the design. Promote alternatives for civil & structural design to optimize works and schedule.
- Report to the Lead Civil & Structural & Modularization Engineer on progress and delays, if any, of his/her activity and on changes to basis for design – as early as possible when anticipated, anticipate problems in his discipline and inform deputy Engineering Manager.
- To review and validate the AFD-IFC drawings weekly reports from Contractor and ensure SITE and fabrication yards work fronts.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Diploma: Chartered Engineer with specialisation in structural engineering and design for large and complex upstream and offshore projects. Proven experience with modules load-out and transportation.
Professional experience: above 20 years. Familiar with structures, buildings and foundations designed to resist to blast and seismic conditions.
Good teamwork, strong minded.
Fluent in English.
