The Company:
Our client is a global leader in engineering and project management services across nuclear, natural resources, clean energy, water and the environmental sectors.

Having entered in to a joint venture with a local leader in Qatar, our client is now a prominent and growing company in the region offering maintenance, shutdown and workshop services, facilities engineering and international supply access for the petrochemical and oil and gas sectors.

The Role:
Purpose / Role

To generally check all the Structural designers drawings and associated scope to ensure full compliance with Engineers requirements, and to ensure the Deliverables cost, schedule and quality criteria are as necessary to satisfy our clients , the Fabricator and the Erection Team


Key aims and objectives

• To assist the Structural Engineers with the development and production of all Design and Detailed Drawings and Bulk MTO’s and develop and improve the quality of the company deliverables where required to ensure economic and practical fabrication practices are being used .


Prime responsibilities and duties

• Achieve safety standard as defined in personal performance contract.
• Responsible for assessing effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuously improving systems, personal and team performance.
• Carry out work in accordance with AMEC Blackcat and project Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality systems.
• Prepare Close out and as Built drawings and Documents and workpacks.
• Ensure that all drawings and documents are complete within the allocated hours and in accordance with the programme .
• Advise the Structural Engineer of any changes to work content.
• Ensure that discipline deliverables conform the AMEC Blackcat Way and are best-practice.
• Maintain good relations with other disciplines and with the client at all times.


Allied occasional duties

• Carry Out Offshore Site Visits and Surveys.
• Assist in training and mentoring of junior personnel as required.
• Provide technical assistance to discipline assigned personnel as required.

Key internal interfaces

• Process, Electrical, Piping and Instrument Engineering Departments.

Key external interfaces

• Supply Vendors and Suppliers.
