The Role:
STRUCTURAL ENGINEER – PERTH, WESTERN AUSTRALIA – MINIMUM 12 MONTH CONTRACT

Our Client is the world’s leading EPCM service provider for on and offshore facilities with over 7,000 staff across the Australian and New Zealand region and a portfolio of projects, which is the envy of the global Oil and Gas industry. They have been recently awarded with a large multi-million Oil and Gas development project to deliver the FEED services for a concrete gravity based production platform structure. This opportunity will provide challenging design solutions to withstand the combination of the topsides weight and both meteorological and oceanographic conditions. There are a number of opportunities on offer from Engineer level right through to Principal and Management level.

To be considered for the position, you will have a Bachelor of Science Degree Structural engineering with five to ten years of offshore industry experience. In addition, you will have previous experience in the engineering of decks and modular units for offshore oil and gas platforms, including the design and analysis of topsides for the full range of load conditions to which they may be subjected.
Responsibilities of this role will also involve:

Development of all associated engineering documents.
Take a hands-on role in the design and analysis of structures
Provide supervision/guidance and coordination to junior engineers and designers
Prepare and present complex program proposals and reports to senior level management
Willingness to travel or to accept field assignments.

Essential requirements

A minimm of 6-8 years Steel / Structural design experience with "offshore" based projects
Essentially you will be highly competent in the use of PDMS, SACS, AISC, APR RP2A software and processes applicable to offshore structural designs.
You will also have full knowledge of analyses for Inplace, Loadout, Transportation, and Lift.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
