The Role:
- Position reports to Client Lead Civil/Structural Engineer.
- The Senior Structural Engineer will responsible for coordinating all technical Structural deliverables from the FEED & Detailed Design Contractor and driving technical studies potentially undertaken by other Specialist Consultants.
- Responsible for coordinating technical aspects within the discipline and ensuring interfaces with other discipline such as HSE, Piping & Layouts, Operations & Execution Groups including Logistics & Fabrication.
- Work scope will include liaison with and review of FEED/Detailed Design Contractor’s and relevant sub-contractor structural design deliverables.
- Minimum 15 years of experience within Structural engineering & design within the oil and gas industry, able to demonstrate a record of achievements in the Define and Execution stages of large integrated projects.
- Experience in design of modular structures including Modules, PAU's and PAR's for Oil & Gas facilities.
- Extensive knowledge & capability in structural design with demonstrable experience and knowledge of the various permanent and temporary phases including analysis for in-place (static & dynamic), blast, fire, loadout/in, transportation both onshore via SPMT's, offshore via transport barges and lifting operations.
- Experience in FEED and Detailed Design Phases of Oil & Gas/Petrochemical facilities as well as execution, fabrication & hook-up Phases is strongly desired.
- Well rounded understanding of design interfaces with fabrication/construction processes, marine and land transportation contractors for Oil & Gas Facilities & previous experience with Far East fabricators would be an advantage.
- Experience in modular design (onshore and offshore) for enclosed & open process/utility systems within hazardous operating environments preferred.
- Previous experience in Caspian Region and harsh climate projects is advantageous.
- Must have experience of working within a multi-discipline environment and dealing with end-user (Operations & Maintenance) to ensure specific operational requirements are met in the design.
- Ability to work well within an integrated one-team environment between the client and contractor.
