The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide. In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.

The Role:
Our client is currently looking for a Senior Subsea Engineer within the Drilling team. The primary function of this position will be to provide overall subsea engineering support to the operation from the office, and has overall responsibility for optimising subsea equipment and services planning, costing and operations.

The successful candidate will responsible for the following duties;

• Develop subsea equipment design philosophies, basic configuration and functional and operational requirements.
• Ensure integration of subsea system in the whole design and across respective contracts.
• Liaison & interface management with project Offshore Subsea division (SPS) & establishment of interface documents.
• Prepare subsea equipment installation procedures including the subsea program and associated contingency plans.
• Design subsea programs and develop procedures to deliver optimum performance and in compliance with Industry Standards.
• Specify, select, order and accept all well subsea materials and services to meet our clients standards.
• Accountable for the direct contract management of all subsea engineering and operations related contractors under his direction.
• Provide technical subsea engineering support to operations (Drilling Superintendent).
• Identify and implement performance improvement initiatives and monitor effectiveness.
• Assume responsibility for all well documentation related to subsea systems.
• Liaise with subcontractors, authorities and JV partners.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
In order to be considered for this crucial position you will have the following:

• 10+ years drilling and completions related subsea engineering experience
• Good technical and operational understanding of subsea systems
• Safety management skills
• Working knowledge of Industry Standards such as API, ISO, etc
• Engineering or Science Degree
• Supervisor’s well control
• Advanced drilling industry technical courses
