Senior Subsea Pipeline Engineer

The Role:
• Take an active role in selecting and defining the subsea concept and FEED studies to mature the Project to sanction.
• Perform day to day management of the subsea design house
• Prepare all applicable tender documentation and support tendering process with Contracts personnel.
• Prepare and support the subsea cost and schedule estimates.
• Promote HSEQ requirements across all subsea activities.
• Provide all subsea pipeline inputs to Decision Support Package documentation and reviews
• Assist in the preparation of key project documents (e.g. Statement of Requirements, Basis of Design, Project Execution Plans).
• Assist with the technical assurance processes and externally as required to verify the subsea work (including regulatory compliance, cost benchmarking, peer reviews, HAZOPs, HAZIDs etc.
• Ensuring the pipelines related regulatory requirements are adhered to; both in terms of regulatory and legislative awareness (SCR, DCR, PSR, PFEER etc) and submission of permits and consents.
• Interfacing with the other key functions within the project team; sub-surface, wells delivery, topsides. Maintain and manage a system to record and track the flow of interface information, including change.
• Other tasks as assigned from time to time with the agreement of the Subsea Manager.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Skills

Essential:
• Strong subsea pipeline background, familiar with North Sea working practices
• Knowledge of flow assurance techniques and ability to interpret impact of flow assurance simulations
• Computer fluency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Previous experience of project cost, budgeting and planning activities, demonstrating the ability to review and sense-check work by others.
• Knowledge of offshore oil and gas regulatory and legislative requirements

Desirable
• Ability to critique and review technical work performed by others, or ability to identify gaps in own knowledge and offer assurance remedies

Experience

Essential:
• Experience across all aspects of subsea pipelines: design, procurement, fabrication, installation and operation
• Extensive experience of major capital contracts in the subsea supply chain.
