The Company:
Our client is a global group of energy and petrochemicals companies with around 93,000 employees in more than 90 countries and territories. Their innovative approach ensures they are ready to help tackle the challenges of the new energy future.

The Role:
Primary purpose of the pipeline team is to provide - within the Subsea, Pipelines and Flow Assurance (SURF) team - high quality technical assurance and support to a portfolio of challenging Deepwater Projects in Norway with specific accountability for design, construction, installation, pre-commissioning and (flawless start-up) of Flowlines, Risers and Pipelines.

Compression project is in the conceptual phase and encompasses either subsea or surface based (Tension Leg Platform) compression. Both scenarios require a complex extension of the subsea pipeline infrastructure and require multiple tie-ins (many via hot tapping) with existing facilities. Secondary project encompasses a high temperature / high pressure field, which will be tied-back to the platform using 2 subsea manifolds and a 50km long, insulated and directly electrically heated flow line. The final concept will be selected towards the end 2011 after which the front end engineering and design (FEED) will commence.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• BS degree or equivalent in technical discipline. Professional/Chartered engineering qualification.
• 10+ year experience in pipeline engineering.
• Extensive experience in concept engineering and FEED.
• Experience with deepwater, HP/HT pipelines.
• Experience with flexible pipelines
• Previous experience working for an operator would be a benefit.
• Familiar with Norwegian standards and guidelines.
• A demonstrable commitment to HSE and Quality.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work with customers and other team members.
