The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, seeks expertise for offshore mega-projects in Canada.

This opportunity is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only. First consideration will be given to residents of Newfoundland & Labrador.

The Role:
Role: The main objective is provide day to day onshore engineering / operational input of Subsea Vertical Tree and associated Workover/Completion equipment preparation (including IWOCS, LRP/EDP, and THRAs) and to be part of the offshore based drill team that oversees the installation of the equipment during the completion phases and tree installation.

General Responsibilities:

•Act as offshore Subsea Engineer overseeing all elements of Tubing Hanger, Vertical Tree, IWOCS, Workover System and associated running tool preparation on the rig. This will also include supervision of ROV operations during the completion phases.
•Ensure that all critical elements of completion programs are followed by contractors during offshore completion phases and tree installation and that all well file folder sign off documents are completed in full by contractor offshore teams.
•Witness and sign off on all critical elements of equipment assembly, pre-shipping and testing of the subsea equipment used to install tubing hangers / upper completions, ensure quality workmanship, compliance with contractor build plan, assembly procedures and industry best practices.
•Oversee vendor Subsea Vertical Tree, Tubing Hanger, IWOCS, Workover System and associated equipment pre-shipping preparation.
•Oversee completion equipment (including Tubing Hangers, Trees, and Workover System) logistics and manage equipment movement and readiness as per well schedules.
•Provide feedback on operational issues and potential equipment shortfalls and/or operational improvements for incorporation into completion procedures.
•Actively participate in identifying and improving feedback on quality issues to the Drill Team Quality Representative (DTQR).
•Conduct periodic audits on West Aquarius ROV systems and identify tooling shortfalls and/or improvements and feedback to Drill Team.
•Active involvement in preparing completion procedures and subsea work scopes.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Petroleum Engineering Technology or Equivalent Education
•A detailed knowledge of subsea Vertical Monobore Tree, Tubing Hanger & associated completion equipment, and Workover Packages (LRPs/EDPs) & methodologies employed in these activities.
•The ability to identify, analyse and respond to project opportunities, risks and uncertainties.
•Excellent English language written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
•Excellent PC literacy with advance Microsoft applications.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
