The Company:
Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:
Scope
The job holder is responsible for Quality planning activities for some bought in parts, maturation in line with design specification and approval of parts and completion of ‘Two Day Production’ (2DP) process. Technical support on complex Supplier Quality issues including Group launch approval process,Production and Field. Drive quality improvements at external suppliers to ensure Product Quality targets are achieved. Ensure the company has the right information related to supplier quality performance to nominate suppliers that achieve the Group quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
Delivery of Parts Quality planning tools in line with project gateways
Lessons Learnt
Risk assessments of part content
Facilitation and reporting of Quality Technical Review (QTR) activities
Application of Quality planning tools
Part Maturation, Approval and Capacity analysis
Conduct approval process with support from other functions where required
Meisterbock process including management of suppliers and parts through process
Problem management with supply base
Conduct and report 2DP in line with Quality plan
Achieve Quality targets on pre-series & series vehicles (Audit, Aftersales)
Drive actions to achieve targets on Product Quality issues
Identify risks against targets and escalate
Drive actions to achieve targets on customer warranty/PDI issues
Drive supplier improvement & Problem Solving
Monitor supplier performance measures
Drive supplier improvement initiatives
Support the supplier nomination process
Solves problems using recognised techniques to establish root cause and containments
Deliver effective presentations

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree qualification or higher in an Engineering field or HNC/HND in an Engineering discipline with extensive relevant experience
Associate membership of a relevant professional institution is desireable
Driving Licence

Previous Experience
Experience and knowledge of Engineering across multiple commodities or as a specialist in one commodity.
Significant experience in automotive supplier quality management either at a supplier or OEM.
Significant experience of management systems and processes to mature parts and resolve technical problems related to parts quality from suppliers.
Significant experience and demonstrable track rescord of quality planning.
Demonstrable experience of delivering QA standards related to parts QA against time & cost constraints.
Computer literate with excellent presentation skills to management levels.
Can motivate and influence others to change including management & management at suppliers.
