The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.

The Role:
Our Client is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to work on a contract basis in Aberdeen.

Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the Company‘s policies and procedures, ensuring the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets and the environment at all times

Ensure SPS system design is in compliance with Australian Safety Case requirements.
Ensure the packages design minimizes the impact on the environment in line with project requirements.
Ensure contractor compliance with the system technical aspects of the SPS Contract.
Responsible for the assessment and implementation of system changes ensuring interfaces between packages are clearly defined and resolved.
Work with SPS Interface Engineer, ensuring timely identification and closure of interfaces to maintain the project schedule.
Technical assessment, facilitation and resolution of technical issues between SPS package and URF, WC&I, CPF and FPSO in conjunction with the SPS Engineering team.
Provide technical expertise, advice and support to both the client engineering team and SPS contractor team as required.
Provide support to the SPS Technical Manager in the smooth running of the SPS package day-day activities.
Provide routine interface with Company technical teams - Systems, Flow Assurance, Safety, Operations, Technical Authorities etc.
Provide support and point of contact to Company Operations team to ensure operations requirements are met within the bounds of the contract scope and manage potential changes through the Management of Change process.
Responsible for ensuring the SPS Contractor clearly demonstrates integrity of the SPS system through the key stages of FAT, SIT, SRT.
Responsible for supporting the pre-commissioning, commissioning activities and ensuring the readiness for start-up.
Manage and expedite the Company Independent Verification Body (IVB) activities.
Assess, monitor and manage the SPS contractor qualification programs to ensure risk is minimised and the project schedules are not compromised.
During EPFS Contract execution, ensure project deliverables and activities associated are achieved in accordance with the project milestone dates, budget, quality and technical requirements of the Contract and ensure smooth transition and continuity between the different phases of the project.
Report progress of the work in a timely manner.
Continuous monitoring of the risk associated within the SPS package
Ensure project deliverables and activities associated with the SPS system design are achieved in accordance with project milestone dates, budget and technical requirements of BOD.
Assist in identifying new project risks and implement agreed mitigation measures as required.
Work in close relation with contractors in order to minimize risks to the project.
Liaise with Contractor personnel to align Contractor on project drivers, priorities of work and project milestone dates.
Provide guidance, priorities and input into Contractor strategies / procedures and specifications for SPS package.
Review, implementation of comments and approval of contractor supplied technical documentation in a timely manner.
Liaise with counterparts within other technical teams.
Ensure interface requirements for the SPS package are clearly defined and progressed in a timely manner.
Ensure operations and maintenance requirements are incorporated in the design.
Work collaboratively within COMPANY organization to achieve alignment on strategies and documentation required to achieve objectives
Work collaboratively with EPFS Contractor to achieve alignment on strategies and documentation required to achieve objectives.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Tertiary engineering degree
Min 10 years in discipline in a subsea / underwater environment
Recent & relevant experience delivering subsea systems
Excellent communication / written skills and ability to work with different disciplines and cultures.
Ability to work with different disciplines and cultures.
Emphasis on practical design, building, installing, setting to work and operating a subsea system
