The Company:

The Role:
The purpose of this role is to deliver a safe asset for a ca. $2billion section of a large integrated Petrochemical Plant ($6.5 billion) in the Middle East.

As a member of the Owners Resident Team embedded with the FEED (with future opportunities for EPC Phase) Contractor(s) you will have the broad responsibility for executing the HSSE Plan activities which include:

• Process Safety Design – process safe-guarding; relief systems; control systems; safe design for reactive / chemical hazards; HAZOP and SIL; layout and occupied buildings; design for fire and blast.
• Asset Integrity - safety critical element and performance standards; safety critical task development
• Loss Prevention – active and passive fire protection design and specification; hazardous area classification; fire-fighting equipment specification.
• Risk Management – Bow-Tie preparation; Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA) , Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) and other risk analysis techniques; ALARP demonstrations; HSSE Case preparation; Emergency Response readiness; SIMOPS assessments
• Engineering Contractor Management – delivery and performance management including quality, cost and schedule oversight.
• Safety Leadership and Culture – training, coaching and mentoring Owner and Contractor teams in aspects of technical/process safety; provide visible safety leadership and motivation.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
You will be qualified to BS or MS level in Engineering, Advanced Science, or equivalent. A further qualification in Chemical / Process Engineering would be beneficial. You will have a minimum of 15 years relevant industry experience in Technical/Process Safety.

Substantial, relevant, experience in positions of significant technical/process safety responsibility, the bulk in capital projects including the FEED and Detailed Design phases is essential. Experience in Petrochemical plant design and/or operation would be highly advantageous.
