The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.

The Role:
Our client is looking for a Senior Technical Safety Engineer to assist in making sure that a complete set of performance standards is in place at facility start-up.

Your duties will include but not limited to:

• Review engineering designs produced by FEED/EPCM Contractors and recommend amendments as necessary with respect to safety case development, regulatory approvals, loss prevention and asset protection.
• Liaise with colleagues to ensure a consistent approach to safety, quality, integrity, environment, reliability and security across Onshore and Offshore scopes
• Evaluate and monitor key vendors with respect to safety engineering performance of plant, equipment and systems
• Supervise third party services providers in the development of performance standards as required for specific studies and Phase 2 Work
• Provide technical leadership on internal technical safety engineering and support technical integrity management focused on major hazrd safety
• Professionally represent the organization in workshops, meetings and other company focused forums as required

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
In order to be considered you will have the ability to demonstrate knowledge, capability and competence in the following commercial, technical and interpersonal aspects:

• Tertiary qualifications and/or professional registration in a relevant engineering discipline eg chemical engineering, mechanical engineering (essential)
• Minimum 15 years provision of risk and safety engineering, loss prevention and asset protection programs for the development of large petroleum/petrochem/gas projects through Pre-Feed, FEED and execution
• Exposure to engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction and commissioning

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Supervision of third party service providers
• Familiar with upstream and downstream, processing technologies
• Certifications, permit documentation and downstream processing technologies
• Leadership of HAZIDs, HAZOPs, formal safety assessments, quantitative risk assessments, SIL assessments, safety cases, safety design reviews
