The Company:
A major Oil and Gas Operator for a LNG project.

The Role:
The service provider will be working under the leadership of the Lead Technical Safety Engineer.
Hierarchical relationship: LNG Facilities Engineering Manager.

1. Responsible for the follow up and control of the LNG plant EPC Contractor’s activities, for his discipline.
2. To provide assistance/support to operations and commissioning/start-up preparation teams.
3. To ensure PLANT design consistency, optimization, operability and flexibility which implies interfaces management and leadership towards other packages, such as wellpads and marine port, the whole meeting high level standards for HSE.
4. To ensure that FEED technical safety design complies with S.O.R., contract documentation, schedule, and budget.
5. To avoid LNG plant EPC Contractor stand-by/delays by prompt response to engineering queries, request for waiver (if any) and unexpected technical issues, by a proactive and proefficient approach.
6. To avoid design changes during the course of the detailed design thus securing the schedule.

• Position holder is together wih the Lead Technical Safety Engineer the focal point and responsible for the review and comments (including the consolidation of the comments from the other engineering disciplines and operations) of the key deliverables such as: Safety Concept, Safety Philosophies, Safety distances calculations notes and QRA/FRA/ERA,
• Follow-up, control and comment all Safety Engineering related documentation produced by the LNG plant EPC Contractor,
• To monitor and highlight the interfaces within the PLANT packages (in particular with process, control systems, civil/structural, electrical and operations disciplines) and with the other packages of the PLANT in relation to technical safety discipline,
• Call for, participate to and/or organise all the necessary technical and/or co-ordination meetings required to achieve the performance of the work,
• Report engineering progress regularly to the Engineering Manager, highlighting critical problems, drifts,
• Participate to the Project HAZID, HAZOP, SIL review, 3D Model reviews, PTR and SPOT,
• Participate to interfaces management meetings

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Chartered Engineer with specialisation in technical safety engineering. Professional experience: minimum 10 years. Proven experience with LNG projects, large projects. Familiar with QRA methodology, Risks Assessment, Safety Distances Calculations.
Good teamwork, strong minded.
