The Company:
Our client is a global leader in the oil and gas industry and have potentially found a way to revolutionise the way natural gas resources are developed, by building the world's first floating liquefied natural gas facility (FLNG)

The Role:
Phase 4, early Phase 5:

Support the Start-Up Team through leveraging expert big bore well operation, long subsea tie-back operation, start-up planning and execution knowledge to assist the development and execution of robust start-up plans for the Gorgon Integrated (subsea and onshore) assets.

• Work with Start-Up Manager to ensure that OE / IIF expectations are met.
• Provide expert well, flow assurance and gas processing facilities start-up and operations support including interfacing with specialists, e.g. ETC, vendors, chemists, to resolve complex start-up issues.
• Support the development and execution of Upstream start-up procedures through providing guidance and mentoring to Start-Up Engineers/Specialists to ensure a safe and efficient start-up of the Gorgon Integrated assets. Provide input to the start-up schedule.
• Interface as necessary with the Upstream System Completion and the Integration & Completion Team to ensure proper integration between Commissioning and Start-Up planning and execution. Interface as necessary with external stakeholders.
• Provide oversight and longer-term planning recommendations for start-up team staffing, workload, strategy and deliverables development. Support the application of CPDEP process and principles as necessary.

• Provide on-site start-up coordination support and assistance during start-up execution.
• Assist Start-Up Team in trouble shooting activities during start-up and early operation of the facility.
• Assist Start-Up Manager in integrating Lessons Learned.

Incident and Injury Free (IIF):
Implementation of Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture within area(s) of responsibility. Be proactive in promoting IIF safety culture. Search out and apply safety lessons learned and cascade them down to subordinates.

• Provide guidance and experience to assist engineering, operations, and maintenance leaders in diagnosing and correcting operating problems associated with LNG/gas processing.
• Review operations & start-up procedures and plans.
• Participate in PSSR’s and JSA’s as necessary.

Managing Personnel and Planning:
• As necessary, support the Operations Production Manager through coordinating start-up activities and associated personnel.
• Provide technical mentoring within the Start-up Team as well as externally to the Operations Production Team. Participate in and sometimes lead technical training as necessary to support Operations OC build.
• Support the Operations Production Manager in developing workforce staffing plans, schedules and budgets.

Describe any unique complexity that should be considered when evaluating this position:

Requires significant technical and operational insight and experience to develop and implement required deliverables. Must be able to work closely with the Gorgon Commissioning Team as well as the Gorgon Operations Team to devise and implement a robust start up plan. Be able to leverage within JV's and industry best practices in the development and execution. During the execution phase the position might become rotational or have extended trips to Barrow Island
