The Role:
This position provides full time Well Engineering support to the Albanian OPO JVs (other participant operated Joint Ventures). Role could extend to support other OPO JVs, the overall role will focus primarily on defining and drive a performance improvement plan for deep onshore sour exploration & appraisal wells in Europe, with ability to identify key safety and technical risks, including well integrity and process safety related risks. Influencing Operators to deliver maximum value to partnerships through good well planning and execution practices is essential.

The position ensures that well engineering activities are conducted in accordance with all HSSE, technical, operational, contractual and financial requirements. The incumbent is responsible for working together with the operator(s) in driving and support of performance improvement plan (operations support role).

The position requires in-depth technical knowledge for the planning and execution of well engineering activities on land environments (Drilling, initial completion and well testing).
The position also requires that the incumbent is able to work virtually, and manage multiple interfaces both within and outside client venue.

Accountabilities
• Support and drive wells process and personal safety improvements into the venture
• Provide close well engineering and operations support to wells constructed and operated by other operator in Albania
• Work together with operator to deliver the performance improvement plan in a quite challenging drilling environment
• Ensure that current drilling performance move towards Top Quartile performance level.
• Provide sharp end operations support to the operator in a collaborative manner
• Engage clients principle technical and subject matter experts, and maximize their input to the improvement plan
• Follow up the day to day operations during the critical part of the well construction, and be able to intervene with advice and support when is require
• Bring in own knowledge and experience on key well design and well construction aspects like; Safety, well control, losses management, borehole stability, hard rock drilling, ROP improvement, drilling fluids, and well testing
• Monitoring and Reporting
• Work together with the operator on developing best practices and knowledge for these type of wells
• Conduct wells analysis, input to integrated studies, identify technology improvements and initiate with Operators.
• Provide required input and support assurance process on FDP, development well concept and cost

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
. Professional well engineer, with extensive experience in deep drilling, with H2S
- 15-20 years experience
. E&P business/discipline knowledge.
- Familiar with common well engineering software for example StressCheck and Well Plan for Windows.
. Engineering degree or equivalent preferable.
