The Role:
This is an office based position that is in place to ensure proper structure is put in place to properly plan Completions and Well Interventions (C&WI) operations. Accountability for the role extends across the entire C&WI work-stream, emphasis will be on ensuring key business processes are put in place and followed. National staff is being developed through the competency based development scheme and guidance of young staff is key. With C&WI. Annual budget at approx 20 million USD a year of overall OPEX spend, this position will contribute to a significant part of the cost reduction opportunities. A challenge in the role will therefore be in identifying and implementing these opportunities, primarily through more effective contract management but also through increased efficiencies in the Well Services arena

HSE:-
Ensures full compliance with the Wells Minimum Standards Process Safety as well as clients minimum standards. Sets a clear leadership example and promotes a high degree of health, safety and environmental awareness among all C&WI staff. Reviews and monitors effectiveness of company procedures, standards and guidelines. Ensure that all HSE Incidents are properly investigated. Champion near miss reporting and hazard awareness training.

Planning & Execution of Operations:-
Provides detailed planning, scheduling and programming support for, and optimisation of, all activities generated by the Petroleum Engineering and Production Operations related to C&WI. Prepares detailed programs with a view to obtain the correct balance between planned expenditure and objectives. Supervise the efficient planning, execution of well integrity activities to ensure that all wells are maintained in accordance with Company standards and current best practice. Ensures Company and departmental operational procedures are adhered to and/or approval for deviation is obtained at the appropriate level of authority. Analyze the operational and technical performance of the resources, identifying the weaknesses and translating into remedial actions with the aim to improve performance, quality and cost effectiveness of products delivered to customers. Provides input into completion designs on new wells and ensure serviceability is considered over the life cycle of the asset.

Contract Management:-
Contract Holder for selected C&WI contracts. Ensures continuity in contractual coverage for equipment and services. Has responsibility for tender development and evaluation. Ensures contract expenditure is monitored to keep expenditure within the ACV and along with other KPIs. Identifies the need for contract variations for equipment, materials and services not covered under the contract, initiates variations and ensures variations are timely in place. Authorises invoice payments and has regular meetings with senior contractor representative. Manages operational and HSE performance of contractor.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
A professional Engineer with a good degree in Engineering, or related scientific disciplines.
A minimum of 10 years experience in C&WI including a good appreciation of the principles of petroleum engineering.
Well developed technical skills with theoretical knowledge reinforced by practical experience.
Sound knowledge of operational procedures and experience of all facets of C&WI encompassing all general relevant forms of surface and subsurface operations and include a good working knowledge of wire-line operations.
Sound knowledge of mechanical and electric wire-line operations, stimulation, coiled tubing, nitrogen lifting, mechanical well-completions, well testing and well production operations is critical, expertise and competence with workover operations is essential. Excellent team building and leadership skills, sensitive to local social and cultural issues, with the ability to build fruitful relationships with all stakeholders.
