The Company:
Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide

The Role:
My client is looking to recruit an experienced Service Engineer who will be homebased to cover the UK - mainly the North West.

Key dities will include:

• Representing the business as site engineer or site responsible at all times.
• Provide high quality application support to customers, on site and by remote link
• Devise, prepare and present system Service products
• Provide High level field and in house technical support, including out of hours support.
• Fulfil maintenance contract obligations onshore and offshore
• Promote products and services in conjunction with Sales and Account managers
• Provide full Service support - after initial training on the full range of systems, including configuration, calibration, modification, cleaning, adjustment, Preventative and Corrective maintenance.
• Lead teams of personnel for site activities
• Deputise for management on site related activities
• Prepare and deliver training courses on relevant areas of expertise.
• Commission equipment in the field.
• Advise clients as to maintenance procedures, evolution, site planning, operational methods, process measurement and control.
• Promote sales of maintenance services and equipment, including spare parts, and advises Sales department of possible sales leads.
• Assist Sales Department with preparation of quotations.
• Carrie out feasibility studies on behalf of Clients and recommend courses of action in order for client to overcome plant and control problems.
• Be available on an ‘on call’ basis to advise customers out of hours and, if necessary, make unscheduled site visits.
• Travel to sites anywhere in the world for above activities, including offshore oil platforms.
• Prepare and write technical reports for internal and external use

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum of an HNC in engineering
• Experience of MOD 300
• Clean UK driving licence
• Good understanding of process control industry
• Thorough process control engineering experience, including site work.
• Commercial awareness

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree qualification in a relevant engineering subject
• Experience of 800XA
