Posted Position Title Service Global Tender Manager


Role Summary/Purpose Located in Aberdeen/Bristol the Service Global Tender Manager plays a key in supporting the Services Commercial Leadership team to drive growth and margin improvements across global business streams, and is responsible for delivering high quality commercial proposals for allocated Services EPC projects, Global Framework Agreements and Services COE solutions opportunities.

Essential Responsibilities • Service projects are related to EPC tenders.
• Key accountabilities include developing service execution strategy in combination with regional operational teams, preparation of Commercial and Technical Bid submissions, formulating accurate product/service costing, working with support functions (legal, finance, tax, EHS) to ensure optimal terms and conditions are included in different types of proposals & supporting the sales team in formulating market pricing.
• In addition, Services COE solutions include Intervention products and Brownfield projects which are tendered direct to end customers, through regional Service organisations and through the EPC ITO organisations.
• Key responsibilities include development and management of the tender process to ensure accurate cost models, identification of commercial risks, obtaining business approvals and input to price setting in combination with sales and business leaders.
• Global master framework reviews and negotiations on behalf of the Services organisation, assess contract risks in accordance with business policy, risk tools and compliance requirements, identify appropriate qualifications/exceptions and support negotiations through to contract award.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Review contractual documentation, invitation to tender terms and conditions, assess contract risks in accordance with business policy, risk tools and compliance requirements, identify appropriate qualifications/exceptions and support negotiations through to contract award and handover to OTR (Contract Delivery).
• Schedule, participate and lead kick-off meetings and commercial risk reviews to gain Senior and Executive Management approvals where necessary (R0/R1/R2/RRC). Requiring a high level of capability to present/articulate both internally and externally for the business.
• Ensure both regional and functional teams are engaged at tender commencement and are active participants in the ITO process.
• Issue clarifications to customers and distribute responses in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ensure web-based risk tools are updated regularly throughout the tender lifecycle.
• Develop service execution strategy working with regional execution teams.
• Create & collate bid technical and commercial submissions.
• Represent the Services P&L at bid status meetings, monitoring changes to customer requirements & bid strategy and assess implications on Services P&L.
• Prepare cost models to cover all elements of service proposals including field service, rental, spares, storage & maintenance and Services COE solutions such as Brownfield and Intervention product sales and upgrades.
• Review rental requirements against fleet availability, identify alternatives and, where appropriate, prepare and support the business case for additional investment.
• Assist with pricing strategy working with Pricing Leader and Sales, including ensuring invoicing milestones provide positive cash flow.
• Ensure equipment delivery schedule is approved by engineering, project management, manufacturing and sourcing.
• Provide high quality benchmarking when presenting to the business for Services deliverables.
• Provide accurate and timely reporting as required by customer and commercial team.
• Perform other duties as required to support Services commercial & operations teams.
• Support the full sales cycle from budgetary quotations, FEED studies and formal customer quotations through to contract award.
• Conduct tender lessons learned reviews.
• Managing a clear and effective handover process from ITO to OTR.

Qualifications/Requirements • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or relevant business experience.
• Proven career with a preferred experience in a project or tender managing role within a similar commercial environment preferably from the upstream services segment of the Oil & Gas Industry.
• Clear competency with commercial models, including excel and database driven cost models and pricing strategies.
• Confident and competent presenter at all levels.
• Ability to integrate with personnel at all levels within a truly global business environment.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing systems and processes, active site operations and services organisations.
• Strong communicator, able to successfully manage and deliver multiple priorities for demanding internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent computing skills, particularly Microsoft Office suite.

Desired Characteristics • Proven capability and exposure within a commercial and/or sales environment.
• Experience with contract management and contractual terms and conditions negotiation.
• Experience in a similar role.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams to help build effective processes
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proven experience in Project Management or similar skill set to manage OTD (on time delivery) of the Services ITT lifecycle.
• Strong business analysis, problem solving, and strategy development skills
