The company provides global service and technical support for liquid ring vacuum pumps, compressors and engineered systems through their technical centres, manufacturing plants and service centres strategically located around the world.

The Role:
POSITION SUMMARY:
Inspects, repairs and test Company products that have been returned by the customer.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. To operate machinery used in the process of repairs of rotating machinery
2. To operate fork lift trucks.
3. To operate all lifting equipment.
4. To drive company van or pool car.
5. To strip down, clean and inspect rotating machinery.
6. To assemble and test rotating machinery.
7. To understand HEI orifice test plate methods of field testing.
8. To understand fibrescope equipment and interpretation of pictures.
9. To make test reports for customers and in house personnel.
10. To operate welding equipment and understand the cladding of rotating machines.
11. To perform loading and unloading of trucks, inspection of goods received and stores duties.
12. To have understanding of commercial practices, costs and profits and its effects on the business.
13. To be available for work within Winsford facility or our customer’s facilities within EMEA once qualified.
14. To be available for work within Winsford and UK customers during training.
15. To attend suitable course in mechanical engineering and /or any other courses deemed required to support job function eg IT Health and Safety etc.
16. To perform his duties in safe manner with regards to other individuals and Health and Safety legislation.
17. To understand complete pump systems and accessories and use that understanding to solve customer problems during site visits.
18 To seek revenue streams for GD whilst on customer visits.
19. Product: Provides diagnostic analysis, repair and/or preventative maintenance of customer products in service shops or installations at customer locations.
20. • Reports: Prepares and submits written reports of in-house or site visit inspections with recommendations. Reviews and edits reports before they are sent to the customer.
21 Training: Trains employees, customers and vendors in correct operation and maintenance of product.
22. Service Bulletins: Assists in development of service bulletins, procedures, etc. for both warranty products and out-of-warranty service.
23. Other responsibilities as assigned.
