The Role:

People Management
• Motivates, coaches and manages staff towards the achievement of goals. Provides regular feedback, including documented performance management.

Addresses poor performance and nurtures high performers.
• Monitors the skills required for delivering services develop successors and communicate organisational and functional direction to their team.

• Ensures that the unit complies with the provisions of all legislation, governance requirements, and corporate policy & procedure, including financial delegations.
• Maintains familiarity with relevant technology and regulations.
• Monitors trends in safety and/or performance and implements improvements.
• Advises and supports the CEO on matters relating to the operation of Shared Service functions.

Customer Focused
• Ensures that the Shared Service functions meet user requirements and provides services that exceed customer expectations.
• Manages organisation’s assets and team, and ensures capability and availability meet customer need while optimising cost benefit by providing cost effective systems, planning, design and implementation and management services that are fit for purpose.

Strategic Planning
• Develops the strategic plan for Shared Services functions to ensure it keeps pace with changes and are meeting customer needs and organisation strategic objectives.
• Works with managers to develop and implement plans ensuring the cost effective and efficient development and delivery of services.
• Drives innovative approaches with a focus on business improvements.
• Participates as an Executive in the overall organisation strategic directions and plans.
• Ensures that Shared Services functions support the business through internal infrastructure/frameworks, policies, processes and systems that maximise the commercial and operational success.

Managing budget and exercising controls
• Develop annual work program, budget and business plan
• Approve and control expenses, monitor closely the spending ensuring it will not exceed the approved budgets.
• Issue monthly report reviewing performance against contract, actual cost against budget with detailed explanation on variances and future plan.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
A Master degree in Business Management (MBA), Public Relation, Mass Media or International Relations background is preferable. Any other degree is sufficient.

15 plus years of professional experience with at least 10-12 years Oil & Gas Sectors and in maintaining effective & cooperative relationship with government officials & media communities.

Management skills, Risk management skills, Analytical skills, time management, multi-tasking skills, problem solving skills, decision making, negotiation skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Business Skills & Understanding, Performance Management processes. Proficiency of Business English level for daily communications.

Leadership, Strategic thinking, teamwork, persuasive skills, attention to detail, flexibility, sound judgement, proactive, ability to work with diverse nationalities, innovative, creative , cooperative , open for suggestions , integrity .
