The Company:
Our client, an international major oil and gas operator, seeks a SharePoint Analyst to join their team.

The Role:
• As a SharePoint analyst - will evaluate current SharePoint functionality and interactive capabilities, and identify opportunities for creating improvements and recommending process improvements and SharePoint technology options. Keep current on the SharePoint 2010 toolkit and new tools.
• As a SharePoint administrator - will provide services such as fixing bugs, broken links, or function problems; adding/uploading content; investigating solutions for new functionality; and coaching new users and site administrators.
• As SharePoint support for the Technical Training team - will be involved in providing solutions for a variety of training venues and modes: video/podcasts, CBTs, Virtual training, Simulation, videoconferencing, remote training and others. You will be involved in building SharePoint applications for surveys, training scheduling, advertising and incorporating KPI’s, and other applications where applicable.
• SharePoint Analyst - perform requirements gathering; assist in developing and adopting SharePoint Best Practices; ensure compliance with COMPANY IP, Export Compliance and IM policies and strategy guidelines; apply Lifecycle processes and policies; assist with data quality and metadata compliance.
• SharePoint Site Designer – With alignment from project Information Management Coordinator, design and construct SP sites and build functionality; research vendor and partner SP services to evaluate and bring new concepts, tools, and techniques; develop opportunities to incorporate appropriate SP capabilities into websites. Must be proficient in use of InfoPath forms and workflow process within SP
• SharePoint Power User (Administrator) - manage SP sites, manage user permissions, change layouts, add sub-sites, and provide Level 1 support for SP site users. Manage site collections; assign and modify user permissions; handle access requests; SharePoint site maintenance; member of SharePoint Power User group.
• Coordinates with Project Document Controllers to facilitate SharePoint based uncontrolled documents moving into Electronic Document Management System.
• Liaise with customers as required. Coordinate the asset teams on Interface document flow. Checking/validation/verification that functionality of SharePoint is following project requirements for all documentation. Issue of standard and ad hoc reports and registers.
• Ensure Project guidelines are adhered to.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
5 years within Information Management (IM); strong written and verbal communication skills. Knowledgeable of SharePoint. Ability to lead, facilitate and communicate at all levels.
Experience with gathering requirements, capturing and sharing best practices, managing IP and IM technology. Demonstrated capacity to work effectively with other peers to ensure alignment and efficient delivery of services.
Excellent coordination and prioritization, time management skills; can handle multiple tasks and work independently; self motivated. Knowledge of data management processes with Excel, Visio and MS Access database skills.
