The Company:
An oil and gas operator in Downtown Houston.

The Role:
This role is responsible for collecting and documenting requirements for web technology related initiatives, including SharePoint sites, web sites or web applications or any other related solutions by engaging in client interviews, documentation reviews, business process analysis, and existing technology deployment evaluations. This position will be the primary interface between the client and the Web Technologies Team which requires managing customer expectations and clearly communicating requirements to the development team. Enthusiasm and flexibility to work on a variety of projects are essential, as well as the ability to rapidly acquire new technical expertise.

Job Duties:
• Gather requirements and create technical and design specifications using defined tools, practices, principles, and procedures
• Assist in the decision-making process to determine the best technology direction for project requests (SharePoint, .NET web application or other solution). Work with other teams within the Web Technologies department to implement the “best-fit” solution.
• Plan, layout, design, and implement SharePoint sites and solutions utilizing OOTB functionality as much as possible
• Manage project schedules and client communications
• Create graphics, wireframes and content layouts
• Present wireframes to clients and give site demos
• Conduct system testing
• Troubleshoot issues & defects
• Project portfolio management

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Expert knowledge using SharePoint 2010 out-of-the-box features
• Advanced knowledge of website design principles (layout, design, html)
• Project management/business analysis skills
• High degree of creativity and problem solving ability
• Proven track record of deploying successful business solutions
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with various disciplines and levels within the organization.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work activities to support of business objectives.
• Interpersonal and teamwork/collaboration skills.
• Strong written, verbal (English), and PC skills (Excel, Word, Access, and Project)
• Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with fluctuating priorities

• 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Experience with Sharepoint, IIS, Microsoft’s .NET Framework including ASP.NET using Visual Basic.NET., SQL Server, Implementation and Development of both Intranet
