The Role:
Overview:
Our client needs a contractor resource to provide user experience and graphical design expertise on multiple SharePoint application projects. In addition, this person will be responsible for coordinating the team’s technical support function as the primary interface for incoming support tickets. The candidate must be self-motivated and able to work both independently and in conjunction with team members and business groups. Enthusiasm and flexibility to work on a variety of projects are essential, as well as the ability to rapidly acquire new technical expertise.

Job Duties:

General
• Define innovative user interfaces and interactive content layout techniques to improve user productivity
• Work in conjunction with other members of the Web Technology team to deliver web based solutions in accordance with Hess standards using defined tools, practices, principles and procedures.
• Work with the Web Technology Manager to identify emerging technologies that will benefit the business
• Deliver presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions as needed

SharePoint

• Represent the “User Experience”; translate customer requirements into design specifications. (Branding, Professional, Standard, Attractive)
• Participate in the design definition to provide an inviting and professional graphical layout, remaining within the bounds of client branding and standards
• Create technical & design specifications from user requirements
• Develop and maintain design mockups, usage scenarios, prototypes, graphics, wireframes and content layouts
• Preserve design consistency across business solutions

Support
• Manage incoming support tickets and track ticket status until completion
• Troubleshoot issues and defects and engage the proper resources
• Provide end users with how-to and functionality information
• Analyze support processes and recommend improvements
• Create and maintain application support documentation and responsibility matrix

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE:
3-5 years of relevant experience in the following technologies: SharePoint 2010, IIS,. Developing, implementing and utilizing Web Services and Service Oriented Architectures (SOA), Extensive SharePoint 2010 development experience is a must, Live Meeting, Instant Messaging, Experience with Documentum and development against Active Directory, Exchange/Outlook a plus.

Required Skills:
• Must speak clear English
• Expert knowledge using SharePoint out-of-the-box features
• High degree of creativity and problem solving ability
• Strong Layout & design experience
• Creating and manipulating graphical elements on web pages using Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks or another graphics tool
• Proven track record of deploying successful business solutions
• Excellent presentation skills
• Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with fluctuating priorities
