The Role:
• Responsible for actively promoting SHE awareness and effective stewarding of Client SHE programs throughout Venture Departments and Projects. Program elements include occupational safety, environment, security, occupational health, risk management, and emergency response.
• Confirms that Venture Departments and Projects are meeting the goals and requirements of the Client Elements for Excellence and the Client Project Management System through continuous auditing, assessments, evaluation and follow-up.

• Works with SHE programs on multiple projects/locations/countries.
• Acts as a Subject Matter Expert for SHE needs throughout the Client Venture Group operations.
• Participates in audits and assessments to determine compliance to company standards and contract requirements.
• Assists in the promotion, reward and recognition of SHE performance.
• Assists in the development and implementation of SHE deliverables during the early stages of Projects.
• Participates in the investigation of incidents, assists to determine root cause and make appropriate recommendations to prevent recurrence.
• Conducts trend analysis of incident causal factors and SHE performance leading indicators such as behaviour observations. Recommends and promotes improvements.
• Liases with stakeholders and other appropriate organizations to enhance knowledge sharing and promote good relationships.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Social Sciences
• Internationally recognized Certification as a Safety Professional.
• 10 years experience in Oil and Gas Industry.
• Demonstrated experience in Contractor Safety within a Projects environment.
• Demonstrated experience in SHE Management Systems, standards and specifications to obtain world class performance.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong ability to influence and facilitate teamwork.
• Ability to work with diverse cultures.
• Proficient computer skills, competent ability in document and report creation.
