The Company:
Our Client is one of the world's largest Oil and Gas companies. Their operations cover the entire energy chain, including oil exploration and production to trading, shipping and refining and marketing of petroleum products, as well as chemicals. The Role:
•Assist the SHE Superintendent to ensure Compliance with the projects Safety objectives throughout the life of the project.
•Ensure that safety, quality, good engineering practice, planning and cost are a permanent concern.
•Maintain good relationships with Contractors, being flexible enough but also strict when necessary to achieve the objectives of the Project.
•Liaise with Other disciplines, Safety, Cost, Planning and Administration sections to improve effectiveness of the overall Team.
•Keep the SHE Superintendent informed of all events which may affect the successful completion of the project goals.
•Support the SHE Superintendent on the site ensuring that the Construction Contractor is fully conversant with all Company project SHE related standards and procedures.
•Undertake regular site visits to inspect rigging and scaffolding activities and assess the work quality and delivery of the Construction Contractor, and intervene as appropriate to ensure that activities progress in line with the project schedule.
•Supervise the following Site SHE interfaces and ensure that Company / Project standards and procedures are fully aligned:
oCompany & Construction Contractor
oConstruction Contractor / Sub-contractors
•Support the SHE Superintendent and other Discipline Superintendents on all aspects of rigging, scaffolding and associated SHE activities and ensure that interfaces with other disciplines are managed effectively.
•Ensure all lifting equipment entering the site has valid certification and is in compliance with relevant Standards.
•Participate in all risk assessments as required by SHE Superintendent WRT Lifting and Scaffolding.
•Review Lift Plans to ensure they are acceptable.
•Carry out audits to ensure lifting equipment on site is being routinely examined and maintained.
•Ensure equipment is being properly controlled, pre use inspection, signed in and out and properly stored.
•Demonstrate personal commitment to the SHE Policy, Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with all relevant Statutory and Company SHE standards, actively participate in Company safety awareness and initiative schemes

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Experience in relevant project construction experience
•Previous gas plant construction experience
•Membership of an appropriate SHE professional body (e.g. IOSH)
•Holder of recognized rigging and scaffolding qualification (e.g. LEEA & CISRS)
•Recognized level of expertise in construction with good knowledge of the company general specifications
•Good spoken and written English.
•Must hold full licence that permits driving in the UK
•Valid medical acceptable for Company standards
