The Role:
• Leads the shift operation team and implement operating plans.
• Unit Operation
- Ensure that the equipment in designated units is in good condition and functioning properly.
- Monitor the units operation status through DCS panel
- Troubleshoot and provide solutions for problems encountered in the units
• Initial Start Up of Plant
- Participate in the licensor training
- Set up the operation manual for designated units
- Train the shift operators
- Participate in the Pre-commissioning & commissioning activities
• Communicate and coordinate operations with other plant personnel and functions.
• Prepare and provide shift operations report to superintendent and operation manager
• Attend to vessel, liaise with port master, port agent, shipper, ship owner, handling port documents and port clearance matter etc.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Diploma / GCE ‘O’ level with credit in English, Maths and a Science subject
• Over 10 years operation experience in DCS and field operations in refinery and/or petrochemical plant.
• Shipping knowledge, knowledge of Port regulations, able to work irregular hours and hardworking
• Plant start-up and turn around experience is preferred
• Able to work independently and in a team, as well as communicate effectively with all levels of staff and across functional groups
• Must be prepared to work on 12-hour rotating shift
