The Company:
Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide

The Role:
To coordinate day to day activities to achieve pre set targets on safety, quality, cost and delivery with continual improvements to achieve departmental objectives

* Health and Safety and welfare of all employees and visitors, deploying company safety policies
* Directly responsible for day to day effective supervision and performance of team members
* Achieve daily Safety, Quality and Productivity goals, to be supported by relevant KPI's.
* Effective communication between team and manufacturing / management.
* Procedures are up to date and adhered to.
* Good housekeeping prevails at all times.
* Lead a multi shift team of setters and operators.
* Cost effective control of materials, labour, tooling etc. within pre-determined budget.
* Assign work to team.
* Support team where necessary.
* Identify and facilitate training and cross training for Team Members.
* Ensure standardised work is followed.
* Facilitate small group A3 projects.
* Initiate and work on Continuous Improvement projects.
* Conduct 5'S and Safety Audits including SOT's.
* Collect data and complete reports.
* Participate in process improvement trials.
* Work closely with planning department to ensure correct in stock profiles and on time delivery

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Understanding of operational processes.
* Ability to train and motivate people.
* Leadership, problem solving, facilitation and analytical skills.
* Knowledge of company policies, working rules and regulations applying to area of responsibility.
* Understanding of principles of C.I.
* Team development.
