The Company:
A multinational utility company its principal activity is the supply of electricity and gas to businesses and consumers in the United Kingdom and North America. It is the largest supplier of gas to domestic customers in the UK, and one of the largest suppliers of electricity. It is also active in the exploration and production of natural gas; electricity generation; and the provision of household services including plumbing.

The Role:
Purpose Statement
This role exists to manage the overall shutdown preparation and delivery. Coordinating the Onshore and Offshore multi-discipline teams on delivery of all Shutdown scope related activities for our platforms and ensure that company processes and procedures are adhered to.
The role holder coordinates and reports on shutdown related activities of manned and non-manned production installations to the operations manager.

Accountabilities
1. OFFSHORE OPERATIONS
• Manage shutdown scope including enforcement of work Freeze; No Change/No Add windows, Variance processes and shutdown work order lead time requirements.
• Manage shutdown backlog and planning resources to effectively plan all work in advance of execution.
• Track material deliveries and develop contingency plans for critical items.
• Ensure the best use of all available labour resources, examples include:
o Offshore personnel
o Shift based personnel
o Supplemental maintenance
o Construction
o Outside contractors
o Specialty services providers
• Prepare, update and publish shutdown project charts detailing planned/proposed shutdown work across the site.
• Develop and issue schedules for non-shutdown activities using available systems.
• Establish manpower planning, to achieve maintenance/shutdown schedule compliance.
• Manage backlog within established band for non-shutdown activities.
• Establish and lead regular maintenance/shutdown planning and status review meetings.
• Conduct daily schedule review meetings with cross functional team during shutdown.
• Ensure the optimum amount of work is executed using the resources available while minimizing schedule changes.
• Coordinate with all stakeholders to create an integrated shutdown schedule.
• Responsible for the cross functional coordination of activities on the integrated shutdown schedule including process and projects, maintenance and turnaround work.
• Ensure a continuously improving maintenance/shutdown process by:
o Establishing, tracking and publishing maintenance/shutdown metrics.
o Identify barriers to work execution and implement corrective measures.
o Conducting post shutdown critiques with cross functional team.
o Incorporating lessons learned into future shutdown efforts.
o Optimising the shutdown duration through interactive planning sessions.

Safety
Operate all offshore production facilities in a safe and environmentally friendly way. Support establishment and maintenance of a high level of HSEQ awareness among operations personnel and encourage their commitment to meeting HSEQ standards. Enforce and supervise compliance with HSEQ regulations, standards, policies and procedures for all offshore production personnel, including contractor and other third-party employees. Participate in the emergency team to ensure fast resolution of emergency situations and protect the safety and security of all personnel and equipment.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge and Qualifications
• Vocational level (technical)
• Minimum of 6-8 years’ experience in the offshore E&P industry, of which some years in a highly technical position
• Job planning and create work activity schedules
• Good interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
• Excellent supervisory skills
• Computer skills in software systems
• Knowledge of Dutch and UK legislation and regulation

Essential Skills
• Ability to determine job priorities, allocate resources to the highest priority assignments and adjust work schedules to meet changing needs.
• Ability to network with various disciplines to best allocate available resources.
• Develop customer relations
• Cross boarder working mentality
