The Role:
To undertake the effective receipt, storage, movement and control of all materials, including repairs, to support the offshore assets. To liaise with Purchasing, user groups, third parties and Supply Base and Marine contractors to ensure that all materials and equipment are moved and stored in accordance with company procedures and internal controls.



Supervisory and Managerial Duties:

Main Duties:
Ensure initial materials tracker is developed alongside the Shutdown Activity register and attend and request pre shut down meetings with relevant personnel.
Maintain Shutdown materials tracker and responsible for coordinating the dissemination of materials availability and delivery status to all shutdown stakeholders.
Liaising directly with vendors for progress reports on key shutdown materials and ensuring issues are highlighted to appropriate departments on and offshore. Further ensuring that issues are followed up / resolved.
Expediting shutdown materials and liaising with buyers/purchasing expeditors as necessary.
Coordinating bulk call-off of shutdown materials in advance of shutdown where possible and ensuring despatch by sea and air freight as required.
Identifying relief valves and defective valves for recertification and testing prior to shutdown. This includes liaising with vendors on initial management of recertifying and testing valves in bulk quantity, highlighting and resolving issues, ensuring weekly progress updates are received and progress is analysed.
Liaising with vendors and warehouse team on timely delivery of materials to meet shipping deadlines.
Requesting key shutdown materials to be returned onshore for testing and liaising with offshore teams to confirm material availability offshore.
Verify shutdown material availability and condition by carrying out physical stock checks.
Assisting shutdown coordinator and onshore maintenance focal points as and when required.
Identify bottle necks, suggest improvements and implement new strategies where applicable for the shutdown materials control process.

Education & Qualifications:

Specific Training / Specialist Skills:
Offshore oil and gas operations experience in a materials coordination role



Experience:
Previous experience of providing a similar service in a similar environment
Evidence of team working
Evidence of high level of computer literacy
Dangerous Goods ‘Authorised Signatory’ preferred
Current forklift certificate


Personal Skills:
Effective interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communications
