The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, requires expertise for their ongoing oil sands mega-projects in Alberta.This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

The Role:
Reports to Long Range Planning Supervisor
• Point contact for all major CMMS administrative changes – including strategies, equipment masters, PM revisions - output from Meridium, Ops tech, Reliability, EMOC (support from CMMS specialists)
• Responsible for development of new equipment masters, strategies, BOM’s, RPSL (support from CMMS specialists, BTPO, Reliability)
• Point contract with execution, reliability, ops tech within scope of planning control including complex planned items and Shutdown planning/Coordination
• Manage special projects targeting maintenance planning & development
• Responsible for creating plans and task lists for all maintenance repair activities including:
• High complexity including 30 days greater LACD (Material repairs, major modifications including ops tech engagement, EMOC) - with collaboration with short range planners
• PM plans – all shutdown PM’s, vessel internals, PSV’s, etc

JOB FUNCTION:
• Communication is key in all aspects of your day
• Identify all Health, Safety & Environmental requirements pertaining to all maintenance activities
• Formulate quality job plans for all maintainable assets.
• Physical Walk-downs on all equipment within span of planning control
• Consult with other departments to obtain required background and information for job plan clarity
• Review and assist in management of fleet parts and consumables requirements
• Ensure all QA/QC requirements are met for work package creation
• Creating Material masters for items required within plans
• Implement and maintain PM programs
• Work closely with MS&C and Technicians to ensure all required spares, material and service contracts are available
• Work closely with field execution teams in understanding labor allocation requirements and work load limitations
• Work closely with Scheduler
• Maintain an excellent working relationship with other project functions, stakeholder and departments
• Champion the Kearl Maintenance Business Process and train/educate in its applicability to various scenarios
• Promote a continuous improvement mind set
• Assist Maintenance Execution with SAP issues and provide education and assistance
• Participate/lead risk assessments and HAZOPS

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
High School Graduation or equivalency
• 5 years of experience with live plant maintenance, mining, hydro carbon facilities, ore preparation, slurry plants, extraction process, utility plants, etc.
• Technical certification preferred
• Superior working knowledge of SAP
• Knowledge of Maintenance processes and oil sands maintenance programs
• Familiarity with heavy industry planning, scheduling and execution concepts
• Thorough working knowledge of Maintenance and Reliability practices
• Continuous improvement skills and commitment to best practices
• Excellent interpersonal skills; communication and influencing
• Proven coaching and mentoring techniques and skills and an ability & desire to train others
• Working knowledge of Scheduling Software (Prometheus/Primavera/Project)
• Ability to work 5*2 Schedule from Calgary with ability to travel to site approximately 2-5 days per month with increased site travel during shutdown periods
