The Company:
With interests in over 20 UK Continental Shelf (UKCS) fields, my Client has one of the most significant exploration and production businesses in the offshore waters of the UK.

The Role:
Key Accountabilities

Every individual has a duty to both themselves and those around them to ensure that safe practice is adhered to at all times. In addition to any specific accountability for HSSE, all employees are accountable for ensuring that they take care of themselves and adopt exemplary safe behaviours.


•Liaise with relevant activity owner and others as appropriate to ensure all elements of the Shutdown Plan reflect the scope of work and the resources (manpower, permits, isolations, equipment and materials) required to complete work within set timescales in the plan, are available
•Prepare P6 plans in conjunction with relevant activity owner, for all shutdown work in accordance with shutdown planning and scheduling guidelines
•Attend asset planning meetings and engage with Asset Planning Engineer to ensure pre shutdown and shutdown and post shutdown POB requirements are captured in the asset POB chart
•Produce ad-hoc planning deliverables as required


•Development of shutdown work breakdown structure
•Contribute to high level duration estimate and logical sequence for platform isolation, hydro carbon free and leak testing
•Development, management and distribution of Level 1 and 2 shutdown plans as required
•Identification of constraints such as allowable CSEs at any one time and available POB


•Development, management and distribution of Level 3 shutdown plan as required
•In accordance with Shutdown planning and scheduling guidelines and OSCAR process, carry out Level 3 plan schedule risk analysis using Primavera Risk Analysis tool and produce report as required
•Review externally produced plans to ensure they comply with the requirements of the shutdown
•Development, management and distribution of Level 4 shutdown plan as required
•Integrate plans for individual jobs into overall shutdown plan where workpacks are issued for construction or work orders are approved for use
•Define critical and resource critical path
•Produce ‘basis of shutdown schedule’ document
Progress Reporting, Schedule Management and Control
•Monitor progress of ALL activities especially activities on the critical path and near critical activities and report variation or potential schedule threats to Shutdown management
•Monitor remaining duration of activities on the critical path and provide feedback to shutdown management
•Liaise with Offshore Supervision (including company, Contractor and Sub Contractor) in accordance with Shutdown Planning and Scheduling Guideline to update progress tracker file for daily production of progress/man hour ‘S’ Curves, progress summary tables and update of Onshore Master P6 Plan
•Liaise with Offshore Supervision (including company, Contractor and Sub Contractor) in accordance with Shutdown Planning and Scheduling Guideline to ensure that appropriate change control documentation is used and change register is regularly updated

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Previous knowledge of a continuous process industry preferably oil and gas.
•Previous Shutdown planning experience
•Hands on experience in using MS Office.
•Hands on experience in using Primavera P6 - planning software system
•Hand on experience is using Primavera Risk Analysis
•Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
•Knowledge of and hand on experience of using Maximo
•Team worker
•Customer focused

•Primavera training essential.
•Able to effectively integrate outputs from different areas.
•Accessible by others and creates a culture in which dialogue is recognised.

•Must be visible and work collaboratively
