The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, requires expertise for their ongoing oil sands mega-projects in Alberta.

This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

The Role:
Role and Responsibilities:

• Develop existing job plans in a process sequence of work activities and resources into a defined time frame.
• Schedule work activities start and finish times so labor, materials and equipment can be effectively managed to safely complete projects on time and budget.
• Work with site PM’s, Repair work, logistics, startup and shutdown plans in creating a schedule.
• Use standard resource codes, establishing manpower requirements.
• Provide daily schedule updates during all event stages including found work updates as the turnaround progresses.
• Provide graphical progression updates daily to management demonstrating schedule compliance.
• Develop schedule ownership to the event.
• Work with contractors, managers and planners daily to establish schedule updates.
• Review collected updates and maintain focus on critical path work to insure turnaround event meets pre-determined schedule.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

• Previous experience in heavy industry scheduling
• 5 - 10 years experience in a similar role
• Familiar with Primavera P6 software.
• Work experience with major industrial contractors previously.
