The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, requires expertise for their ongoing oil sands mega-projects in Alberta.This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

The Role:
The Shutdown Scheduler will have the responsibility:

• Create, adjust and update all schedules necessary to manage maintenance (whether shutdown/outage, weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual).
• Work with numerous groups and facilitate scheduling needs of the business for routine, long range and shutdown work
• Resource and capacity level schedules and schedule drafts for review by Cross Functional Teams.
• Identify drivers/anomalies with annual budget by working close with performance analysts (work order costs, AFE costs, Equipment costs and contractor labor costs and utilization)
• Participate and lead formal and informal risk management discussions of work execution timing
• Coordinate with other schedulers and area planners for the scoping, planning and scheduling of all work within the scope of the shutdown (define EPS, WBS, work packages, etc.)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The Shutdown Scheduler should have previous experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience with heavy industry maintenance
• Technical certification preferred
• Knowledge of Maintenance processes and oil sands maintenance programs
• High expertise in Scheduling Software (Prometheus/Primavera/Project)
