The Role:
To deliver activities relating to the design and development of railway signalling control centre solutions (specifically IECC) in accordance with project requirements.

We'd be looking for someone graduate-level who is early on in their career (fresh from Uni is fine)

 Provide assistance on IECC-related project and internal activities to support Bid and Project Managers
 Identify appropriate source records and request from National Records Group (NRG)
 Technical input in order to produce the IECC design and data requirements for projects. This may include:
o screen / interface design
o TD design, including stepping tables and block schematics, and mapping
o various design specifications
o IECC source data
 Ensuring compliance with the applicable standards and regulations
 Raise and contribute to the timely resolution of technical queries
 Desk-checking of own work to ensure it is of sufficient quality
 Implementation of internal checking and assurance to meet project deadlines and facilitate internal integration testing
 Communicate effectively with the Project Manager and relevant project team members so that progress of activities and any dependencies are clear.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
 Demonstrable time management skills and experience of involvement in multiple initiatives at one time
 An action-oriented, proactive approach; someone who is confident in progressing their assigned activities independently
 Demonstrable data analysis skills and a logical approach to problem solving
 Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with and persuade others within the project teams
 Formal training will provide an overview of basic signalling technology and principles. Training, mentorship and development support in specific design and data deliverables will be provided 'on the job'.
