As the Signalling Project Engineering Manager for our client you’ll be playing an integral role in the delivery of major technical projects.
In addition to your management function, you will also be called on from time-to-time to personally deliver engineering/technical work as a member of the project team.
The role is ideally suited to a Chartered Engineer (with qualification(s) in the appropriate discipline) who is looking to work for a strong brand within the rail industry.

As the Project Engineering Manager you’ll be accountable for all design and construction controls to ensure that they are compliant with the applicable standards, legislation, contract requirements and
You will be responsible for assessing the competence and the appointment of any Project Engineers required for the project.
Where more than one Project Engineer is appointed you will be responsible for defining the split of responsibilities paying particular attention to the management of the interfaces between areas of
responsibility- such as design, installation and testing activities.
Ensuring that all Project Engineers have a process in place to identify and brief changes to engineering standards and processes to all relevant staff, including subcontractors, will also be an integral
part of the role.
Another key part of the role will involve implementing a risk management process, in support of the maintenance of the Project Risk Register (which includes both technical and commercial risks) that
identifies and where possible mitigates risk.
In addition to the above, your role as Signalling Project Engineering Manager will require you to:
Implement a technical change control process.
