The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Using a number of software applications, the successful applicant will be expected to assist in the confirmation of tooling requirements, part fitment processes, ergonomic feasibility and manufacturing facility hard points, for prototype engine designs between & . You will assist in the development of Manufacturing design standards, the validation of the PTME 'Bill of Process' and the refinement of manual workstation layouts prior to installation. As part of the Virtual Verification team, you will be working closely with PTME & product development Engineers, facility vendors and tooling suppliers, to ensure that component and whole engine designs deliver world class quality and efficiency standards.
* Preparing and analysing product and process data, to support feasibility assessments.
* Writing & publishing reports for completed simulations
* Proposing product, process or equipment enhancements
* Supporting Virtual build activities with data preparation, 3D facility creation and criteria assessment.
* Virtual to physical validation of simulations.
* Equipment validation of future engine design proposals, in new manufacturing locations.
* Continuous development & improvement of simulation methods & toolsets
* Lead all aspects of the Make Like Production (MLP) activities, ensuring all assumptions are robustly documented
* Prepare documentation supporting flawless installation of equipment at Manufacturing plants
* Close collaboration with facility suppliers during installation of equipment.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Experience of the following software applications is required: Vis-Mockup / Jack / Process Simulate / Process Designer / Delmia / TCE / Microsoft office.
* Good IT skills and awareness of Process Authoring Tool (GSPAS), CATIA V5 & Teamcenter.
* Good knowledge of MS Office Applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Project).
* Candidate should be self-motivated with sound leadership and communication skills, and be an enthusiastic and effective problem solver.
* Ability to work within cross-functional teams and flexibility to support projects from early concepts to launch, at any of our customer's sites.
* The ability to lead, and to work as part of a team is essential, as is the ability to achieve results by meeting deliverables / commitments.
* Able to question, constructively challenge and look for creative solutions to manufacturing feasibility issues. The role will be based at Whitley. Support at all sites when required. Some International travel.
* Ideally educate

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Manufacturing Systems or a similar engineering discipline. Candidates with HNC / HND and the relevant experience would be considered.
