Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
A position has become available for a Site based Construction Engineer to join a leading Oil and Gas Operator for a 5 month contract.Successful candidates will be required to have 8+ years site construction experience. Experience within the Construction industry, specifically for construction of LNG plants and knowledgeable with industry construction methods and procedures. Demonstrate ability to coordinate and multi task key deliverables and timelines within a multidiscipline team of field supervisors and contractors; accountable for the successful implementation of the project's construction execution philosophy and completions programme.

Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:

•Member of a multi-functional execution project team responsible for planning, coordination, field supervision and engineering input relating to all construction activities specific to identified scope of works across the site.

•Ensures facilities are built and installed in accordance with approved drawings and specifications and that applicable project safety and environmental instructions are being followed.

•Uses a Management of Change process as required to document changes.

•Works directly with the construction contractors to manage and oversee day to day construction activities and related issues pertaining to the scope of work.

•Report to Area Senior Construction Manager opportunities / problems, options and suggested resolutions to site issues.

•Prepares notices of non-conformance.

•Prepares the scope of work for site instructions and change notices.

•Oversees contractor performance and required deliverables (HSEQ, quality, cost, schedule and documentation).

•Demonstrates knowledge of applicable project and industry codes, standards and specifications related to the design and construction of related plant.

•Effectively manage and control change.

•Apply CPDEP and Capital Stewardship principles to maintain effective communications and the free flow of information between work groups in order to assess and minimize the impact of Concession Requests, schedule changes, and technical interface queries / issues. Ensure any changes do not compromise project objectives.

•Work with Engineering and Commissioning teams to ensure equipment preservation, installation and testing programs are appropriate and do not compromise equipment performance.

•Assist Construction Management to ensure effective construction completion, including documentation.

•Manages the day-to-day interface with both contractors and subcontractors, providing a focus on safety, environment and quarantine together with quality and engineering aspects.

•Assures that contractor and subcontractors environment, safety, health and quarantine deliverables and compliance requirements are established and maintained.

•Commits to and champions the development and implementation of a safe working environment for everyone on the project and the continuing establishment of an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture.

•Familiar with Operational Excellence Management System (OEMS) tools. Participates in the site Total Safety Task Observation (TSTO), Step Back 5X5 and Hazard Intervention and Reporting Card (HIRC) processes.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•8+ years site construction experience

•Degree qualifications in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline)

•Experience within the Construction industry, specifically for construction of LNG plants and knowledgeable with industry construction methods and procedures

•Demonstrate ability to coordinate and multi task key deliverables and timelines within a multidiscipline team of field supervisors and contractors; accountable for the successful
implementation of the project's construction execution philosophy and completions programme.

•Good understanding and able to read Engineering drawings

•Proven record of consistently meeting quality, construction and schedule goals

•MUST have good organisational skills and able to keep clear and precise records and quality documentation

•Competency in the use of common computer systems and software

•Driving Training

•Working at Heights (1-day)

•Confined Space Entry (2-day)

•Gas Test Atmosphere (1-day)
