The Role:
The Site Contract Administrator will be responsible :

• Prepare the contract documents for construction contracts in accordance with the established format(s)/templates/processes and procedures.
• Ensure that the construction contracting plan and the project procedures manual are implemented and adhered to.
• Maintain liaison with Stakeholders to ensure the timely availability of technical and other information for the preparation of tendering documents.
• Arrange for the opening of sealed tenders in accordance with project procedures.
• Upon receipt of the approval to award, finalize the agreements and prepare the formal contract documents for signature by the Client and subcontractor.
• Administer the contractual execution of the contract.
• Maintain logs on correspondence, change requests, requests from the subcontractor, back charges, contract amendments and notices.
• Register all claims for extra work and process as a contemplated change in accordance with the project instructions, recommending project back-charges where applicable.
• Commercially evaluate all contractor claims and prepare a recommendation for acceptance/rejection of the claim.
• Administer variations/amendments within the contract parameters bearing in mind all cross functional inputs (HSSE/Cost Control/Quality/etc.)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
An experienced Contracting and Procurement professional, familiar with contracting roles on major capital projects ($500Million CAD and above). Proven ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural / diverse environment. Demonstrated knowledge, capability and competence in the following commercial, technical and interpersonal aspects: · Application of contracting and procurement processes and tools to include SAP (Blue Print or GSAP) experience. · Project contract management of incentive based service contracts. · Development of category and project contracting strategies. · Analysis and negotiating skills · Forms of Contracts and their application. · Commercial acumen / awareness. · Managing internal and external stakeholders. · Effective communications at all levels of management both internally and externally. - Comprehensive understanding of CP in a major project context.
